What we collect, and what we don't

Written to be read rather than skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it. Last updated 9 September 2026.

The short version

Who we are

ScreenSorted is a one-person education and setup service run by Mubarak Adeyemo from Ireland, serving families internationally. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Mubarak Adeyemo, trading as ScreenSorted, is the data controller for everything described on this page.

Contact for any privacy question, request or complaint: hello@getscreensorted.com. We answer within one working day, and it reaches a person, not a ticket queue.

What we collect, and why

WhenWhatWhy (lawful basis)
You request the Starter Checklist Your email address, and your country if you choose to select one. To send the checklist and occasional practical tips. Basis: your consent, given by confirming your address, withdrawable at any time.
You send an enquiry
(setup, workshop or founding places)
Your name and email, plus whatever you type into the optional fields: rough ages of your children, the kinds of devices in your home, group or venue, rough numbers, country or time zone, and any message. To answer you and, if you go ahead, to prepare the session. Basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
You become a client What we need to deliver and invoice the work. Basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for tax records.
You simply visit the site Standard server request logs held by our host: IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type. We do not link these to you and we do not analyse them. Basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site up and defending it from abuse.
The honest detail about enquiry forms. The fields asking about your children's ages and your devices are optional, and deliberately vague by design. "10, 13" and "phones, an Xbox, an old iPad" is all we need to prepare. Please do not type your children's names, their schools, or anything more identifying than that. We do not need it, and we would rather not hold it.

What we never collect

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of established providers. Each one is bound by a data processing agreement and none of them may use your data for their own purposes.

ProviderDoes whatWhere
CloudflareHosts this website and runs the form endpoints. Sees server request logs. Also provides Turnstile, the anti-bot check on our forms.Global network, EU entry points for EU visitors
ResendSends our emails and holds the checklist mailing list.EU (eu-west-1)
Microsoft 365Hosts the hello@getscreensorted.com mailbox, so it holds any email you send us.EU
That is the whole list, and it is deliberately short. No fonts from Google, no analytics, no embedded videos, no share buttons. We used to load our two typefaces from Google Fonts, which sent your IP address to Google on every page load; we now serve them ourselves. Changed 2 September 2026.

One exception, added 9 September 2026. The four pages with a form load Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells a person apart from an automated script. We added it because our forms send you a confirmation email, and a bot can abuse that to send mail to people who never asked for it. Turnstile sees your IP address and some technical signals from your browser in order to decide whether you are a person. It is not an advertising product, it does not profile you, and it is not used to track you between sites. Pages without a form load nothing from anywhere but this site.

How long we keep things

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to it entirely. You can also withdraw consent to marketing email at any moment, either by clicking unsubscribe or by asking us.

Email hello@getscreensorted.com and we will action it within 30 days, usually the same week. We will not ask you why, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

If we get it wrong, you have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, or to your own country's supervisory authority.

Changes to this page

If we change what we collect or who processes it, we update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on the mailing list, we will tell you by email rather than hope you check.

The limit of all this. Everything above is about how we handle your data. It is worth saying plainly that layered settings reduce risk rather than remove it, and that they need revisiting as children grow and as software changes.
